Book Review: Rapture

Warning: This review contains spoilers from the other books in the Fallen, Lauren Kate series. Stop reading if you plan to read this series please :)

The sky is dark with wings...

And time is running out for Luce and Daniel.

In order to stop Lucifer from erasing the past, they must find the place where the Fall began. Only Luce can break the curse, and it is her choice alone that will decide all of their fates.

But as Dark Forces gather, great sacrifices will have to be made in this final, epic struggle...

In the fight for Luce, and for Love, who will win?

Ever since Fallen (the first in the series) I've been hooked on this series. It's a read that draws you in from the beginning. The mystery plot throughout the series goes from mysterious, to confusing and all the way to down-right romantic.

Hearts are broken and emotions toyed with just by reading.

This book is a whole new fight in which Luce, Daniel and the gang have to search for three relics which locations were vaguely described in Daniel's Watchers book. Once the three relics are put together they will somehow reveal the location of The Fall where they must travel to stop Lucifer from bringing though The Fall for a second time threw an announcer and erasing history.

Luce and Daniel will sacrifice anything for Love and in this final struggle it appears so will their friends.

Loyalties and friendships are tested. Hearts are broken. The time is coming...

I tried to read slow with this book but only because I didn't want it to end. The way Lauren Kare writes makes the reader fall in love with Daniel, doubt herself about Cam and even befriend Arraine, Callie, Gabbe and many other characters. Her writing let's you mind take over and be placed in Luce's situation where you, yourself try to make the best decisions.

It's an amazing ending to my favourite series and I couldn't help to feel a little heartbroken at it being over.

Awards!;

  • For being the most precious and exhilarating love story I have ever read I'm giving it the - LOVE'S TRUE STORY award. That's also a little play on words if you read this book.
  • VIOLET EYES because the main male love interest is just so perfect in that non-threatening way and he's got violet/grey eyes which, come on, spell gorgeous on their own.
  • FAVOURITE OF ALL TIME (so far) because what it basically says in the name!
